Examination Timetable

The Examination Timetable for the 2011 end-of-year examinations is now available.

Information regarding room allocations will be published on the last day of lectures for Semester Two, Friday 14 October.

Copyright Act - changes

Please be aware of the changes to the Copyright Act which came into force last week. The intention of these law changes is to crack down on peer-to-peer file sharing.

Assistance for IT-related problems is available from:

  • ICT Service Desk in the Central Library, Ilam, or in the Education Library, Dovedale
  • Kotuku Workroom
  • Alcove office, level 2, Central Library

Department of Management research seminar series

Our seminars are designed for maximum interest and interaction, with speakers presenting for 20 minutes to allow time for questions and discussion. Each event promises to be lively, stimulating and provocative and we would very much like to see you there.

The series begins at 11am on Wednesday 14 September in KF08 in Kirkwood Village. Dr Ekant Veer will present research on how Facebook facilitates the breaking of social norms. More information.

Reboot Cafe extended hours

Reboot Cafe is now open 7.30am-8pm Monday-Friday. If you have the munchies they have a great range of snacks and drinks. Find them on Level One, Erskine building.

Library reminders

There are two zones in the Central Library and Learning Hub - Study and Quiet Zones. Levels 2 and 3 are Study Zones and here it is okay to have conversations.  Levels 4, 6, 8-11, as well as the Den (computer suite) on Level 2, are Quiet Study Zones – no conversations. If you go into the Quiet Study Zone then you need to be quiet.

Research study vounteers

Have you ever wondered how the way you HEAR yourself affects the way you SPEAK? Or how this may change over a life span?

We are currently conducting studies that try to understand this.

We are looking for healthy men and women (20-79 years) who are native New Zealand English speakers.

Free vegetables

Wai-ora Trust has, for the past three years, opened up its property to whanau and community groups to grow fresh vegetables as part of our Māori Community Action Plan. However, as part of our Earthquake recovery strategy, we are opening up this service to everyone.
